niu is a fresh name in the IT and telecoms industry. Purpose-built by acquisition of four high value but separate brands, Birddog was asked to help change the organization into one fully converged solutions provider. niu is headquartered in central London with 200 staff and a broad partnership network that includes brands such as IBM, Orange, Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, Mitel, Avaya, and T-Mobile.

At the height of niu’s post-acquisition restructuring, Birddog provided clarity, direction and insight to achieve a single, integrated Brand Strategy and Creative Platform®. Strategic consultancy included the rationale for a single new brand identity, planning for digital marketing and a new corporate website.

We do:
Alongside a new corporate identity and associated brand guidelines, Birddog conceived and designed a Creative Platform® to build on the industry expertise within the newly converged group of companies – ‘niu know-how’. The concept of niu’s inherent understanding of the components that make up an IT solution was successfully applied to niu-solutions.com, to give visitors a vivid first impression of the brand, with simple navigation and quick access to key areas of value.

niu changes:
The fully rebranded niu website achieved a 23% increase in site visits and a 30% increase in site views, with a 91% increase in returning visitors. Referrals also improved with a 70% increase in traffic from referring sites and a 100% increase in traffic from LinkedIn. Attracting the attention of significant new customers has been attributed to the impact of the niu brand launch and website.
